Riva Launches the 122-Foot Riva Mythos

Riva, the iconic Italian boat builder and a subsidiary of the Ferretti Group, launched its new flagship model, the Riva Mythos, in mid-March. In terms of design, the 122-foot yacht is a larger-scale continuation of Riva’s Domino 86 model, which debuted in 2009. The Mythos is only the brand’s second new model since the launch of the Riva Iseo in mid-2011. (The Riva 63 Virtus launched in 2012.) Corum Debuts Its Latest Admiral’s Cup Watch

The Swiss watchmaker Corum has added new timepieces to its venerable Admiral’s Cup collection, including the Admiral’s Cup AC-One 45 Double Tourbillon. The line has a heritage almost as long as that of Corum itself, having debuted just five years after the brand’s founding in 1955. The new watch carries all of the visual hallmarks for which the collection has become known, including its 12-sided bezel and a dial marked with nautical pennants rather than arabic or roman numerals to indicate the hours.

The New Spiegelau Stout Glass Is a Beer-Lover’s Necessity

As U.S.-made craft beer continues its ascent to a level of connoisseurship previously matched only by fine wine and spirits, it seems appropriate that glassmakers would design glassware specifically to accentuate the complex aromas and flavors of these artisan suds. The Austrian glass house Spiegelau has taken charge on this front. Following the Spiegelau IPA glass that it launched last year, the company has created a new glass designed to hold stout beer, which it developed through a partnership with Colorado…

Construction Begins on the Debut Hybrid Oceanic 140 Yacht

Oceanic Yachts recently announced that, following the sale of the first hull from its Oceanic 140 line, construction of the yacht is underway, with delivery expected in early 2015. The 140 employs Oceanic’s Dielec (a portmanteau of diesel and electric) propulsion system, which, much like that in a hybrid car, uses both fuel-powered and electric motors. When propelled completely by its three 2,600 hp MTU diesel-powered engines, the yacht can reach a top speed of 27 knots. When these engines work in tandem with …

Chartering the Gulfstream G650

The newest, fastest, longest-range Gulfstream jet, the $64.5 million G650, entered service in late 2012. It has proven a hit in the marketplace, but that means a long wait for buyers—as long as four years from purchase to delivery. This high demand has led to quick turnaround purchases on the secondary market. About three dozen of the jets have been delivered so far, and several new owners have already sold their jets, at a profit of up to $6 million. And while many owners are private individuals and corporati…

Arnold and Son’s New TEC1 Watch Is Fit for a King

Some 250 years ago, John Arnold became the favored watchmaker of the British royal court when he presented King George II with a ring less than 1 inch in diameter that kept time and also functioned as a minute repeater. This machine, along with the other timepieces that Arnold produced for members of the court, inspires the Arnold and Son Royal Collection, which saw its most recent addition with the debut of the Arnold and Son TEC1 tourbillon.
Just the third tourbillon watch to be released by the brand, the $…
