Oceanic Yachts recently announced that, following the sale of the first hull from its Oceanic 140 line, construction of the yacht is underway, with delivery expected in early 2015. The 140 employs Oceanic’s Dielec (a portmanteau of diesel and electric) propulsion system, which, much like that in a hybrid car, uses both fuel-powered and electric motors.
