Glenfiddich Releases Age of Discovery Bourbon Cask Reserve

Scotch whisky was originally called uisge beatha, a Scottish Gaelic phrase meaning “water of life.” And few people understand the important role that water quality plays in the delicate whisky-production process better than Brian Kinsman, malt master for Glenfiddich, a family-owned distillery since 1887 and the producer of the most award-winning single malt in the world. The new yacht has the same overall length as the owners’ previous vessels, all of which were also named Sassy; the most recent was delivered in 2010. The new vessel, which features updated exterior styling, with a curved transom, swim platform, and aft-dec…

Dior Homme’s Fresh Take on Formal

This spring, Dior Homme gives black tie a lightweight, casual feel with an informal lineup of summer tuxedos and suiting. In this new collection, Dior Homme’s artistic director, Kris Van Assche, juxtaposes the notion of tailored, formal pieces with the ease of casual, sport-driven informality. Specifically bending the rules are new silhouettes like the “shorts suit,” which serves to transport modern men from the boardroom to the beach, and a summer tuxedo, which is a one-button, athletic-style tuxedo in lightw…

Mind-Bending Paper Sculptures from Li Hongbo

Chinese artist Li Hongbo’s current exhibition, Tools of Study—which will be on display through March 22 at the Klein Sun Gallery in Chelsea, New York—pays homage to numerous classical sculptures. But the sculptures are made entirely out of paper—thousands of layers of paper, in fact, which can be pulled apart and stretc…
