The legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld collaborated with the celebrated chef Joël Robuchon on a new dining experience at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo that was unveiled in late June. In his imaginative style, Lagerfeld redesigned the hotel’s swanky poolside lounge and created a 65-foot mural inspired by Homer’s epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey, which is the backdrop for Robuchon’s new restaurant, Odyssey. Expected to open in December 2014, the 1,000-acre Baha Mar resort development in Nassau, on the Bahamian island of New Providence, will comprise four hotels with some 2,200 hotel rooms and 300 residences along 3,000 feet of white-sand beach.
