A definitive must on any car enthusiast’s checklist is a visit to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, especially now that the previously off-limits basement vault is open for tours. Located across Wilshire Boulevard from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Petersen will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. The museum was founded by Robert E. Chivas Regal Enlists Pininfarina to Showcase Its Finest Blends
Pininfarina, the Italian automotive design firm, has partnered with Chivas Regal to pay tribute to Chivas Regal 18 Year Old scotch. Pininfarina created two custom carrying cases with wood-and-veneer lining to mimic the oak barrels used for aging whiskey. The smaller of the two, which is limited to 1,500 pieces at $140 apiece, houses a bottle of Chivas Regal 18, and the larger case, made in 120 editions at $495 apiece, opens to display a bottle and two custom rocks glasses.
